This is what I made for construction time.  It was fun to make.  I put my younger sister's toy kitchen in it.

  1. That looks like a lot of fun Micah. What a clever idea to add a kitchen. Did you let your younger siblings play in there too. At my house we currently have a big blanket tent in the lounge Belinda,Lizzy and Lincoln love sitting in it. How many boxes did you use to make your construction?
Is there something that you would change next time? Construction play is lots of fun, I wonder what else you can make?

  2. Hi Micah, your hut looks like a lot of fun. You were really lucky to have lots of boxes to use as materials for your hut. It looks big enough to put your sleeping bag in it too. Was Sophie allowed in your hut too? What about your other siblings? Did you have a plan in your head of what you were building, or did it just take shape as you were building?

  3. Kia ora Micah,
Ka pai on creating such a wonderful hut during construction time!
Making huts is a fantastic way to spend your time, and I can remember all of the different huts my sister and I used to make when we were younger.
We would make the majority of our huts up in trees, bringing boxes up and trying to structure our ‘homes’ nicely.
I can also remember making a home-made rope pulley which we tied between two separate trees so that we could pass items to each other easily.
Did you have any special design features on your hut?
How many boxes did it take for you to make?
Where did you get your boxes from?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
You mentioned how you put your younger sister’s toy kitchen inside your hut. This was a great idea as it really helped your little hut become a home.
Did you let your younger sister play in the hut with you?
Apart from the toy kitchen, what other things did you put inside your hut?
    Keep blogging!
    Nga mihi
