My Self Portrait

 Today I made a self portrait of my self.  First I toke a photo of  my self then I used polyline and traced around my face.  I did it around my eyes, my mouth and my nose.  After I had done that I turned my face, eyes, mouth and nose into different colour then Mrs Hickford printed out my self portrait.  We did it because we had made waka and had to stick our face onto the waka.      

Maths

A few weeks ago we did some maths.  For the maths we had to make shapes from a piece of paper.  We did it for maths.  It was hard.  Do you think you could do it.  

Onomatopoeia Art

This is my onomatopoeia art.  First I had to cut out our letters then I cut the news paper.  I cut the news paper into a explosion.  After that I cut out little explosions with coloured paper.  I had to pant the out side of the big explosion.  I panted it red then I glued the letters on to my big explosion.  We had to do this because we were learning about onomatopoeia.      

 

Cricket

 

Yesterday we played cricket.  To men had come to our school to teach us cricket.  First we play snowball tag 3 times.  It was fun.  Then we got into groups of 5.  We through the ball to each other.  If we did a bad throw or didn't catch the ball we got a letter.  Once we had spelt out the cat we had to do 10 star jumps.  After that one of the men had to throw the ball at the wickets but we had to try and hit the ball with the bat.  If we hit the bat we had to run around a blue cone and give the b at to the next player and they had to try and hit the ball.  When we had finished playing the game the person told us who one.  It was a draw.  Then we all went in side. 

  

Swimming

 

Today we went to the pool for swimming lessons.  We were getting ready for the swimming races next week.  first we had to dolphin dive to half way then back.  We had to backstroke to the end of the pool.  When we were at the end then we had to do freestyle back to the shallow end.  It was hard.  We had to go back to the deep end just going on my back.  After that we got to choose what we did back to the shallow end.  I chose backstroke.  When we got to the shallow end again it was time to get out of the pool.  So we got out of the pool and got dressed.   

The Marching Ants

This is the Marching Ants problem.  It was a classroom challenge.  First we used five counters on each side.  Then the teacher told us to look for the pattern.  We could not find the pattern.  After that, Mrs Hickford told us to only use 1 counter on each side.  Then she told us to add more counters on each side.  But when we got up to 4 and 5 counters we couldn't solve the problem because we did not find the pattern.  Then we started to look for the pattern as well and then we could do it.  Can you solve the problem?
